Predictably, Fox News Gushes Over GOP "Pledge To America"

Reported by Ellen - September 24, 2010 -

There are plenty of conservatives who were less than wowed by the Republicans' "Pledge to America" but you'd be forgiven for not knowing it if you only watched Fox & Friends yesterday morning (9/23/10).

Media Matters has a rundown of the gushing:

Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade promised a "point-counterpoint" but instead offered three Republicans praising the pledge.

Gretchen Carlson "asked" Mike Pence, chairman of the House Republican Conference, "Well I guess the Democrats can't say that the Republicans are the 'Party of No' anymore, can they?"

Carlson later said to guest Michelle Malkin, "There's a tremendous amount of imagery and thought that went into this whole thing to appeal to the American public."

The only opposing view was Democrat Steny Hoyer's mocking pledge to oil companies, insurance companies and hedge fund managers which Kilmeade described as "the voice of sarcasm."

You probably get the picture.
