Say It Is So, Sarah! Palin Open To Running For President in 2012

Reported by Ellen - September 18, 2010 -

Sarah Palin, who just happened to be in Iowa yesterday (9/17/10), spoke to Fox News' Carl Cameron and told him "I would give it a shot" if the American people think she's "the one" for 2012.

According to FoxNews.com, Palin said, "If the American people were to be ready for someone who is willing to shake it up, and willing to get back to time-tested truths, and help lead our country towards a more prosperous and safe future and if they happen to think I was the one, if it were best for my family and for our country, of course I would give it a shot."

I'd bet dollars to doughnuts, as my mother used to say, that Palin will not run. For one thing, in the video below, Cameron notes Palin has no campaign organization. Second, she knows and the Republican Party knows Palin is unelectable. If plenty in the GOP are still feeling queasy about Christine O'Donnell's candidacy, I can only imagine how they'd feel about Palin's. I also think that Palin is far more interested in strutting around like a diva than she would ever be in any kind of serious campaigning, much less doing the heavy lifting of real governing. What better way to be a diva than to pretend she might run?

In fact, Palin says as much (well, not the diva part) in the next paragraph: "I know I can certainly make a difference without having a title. I'm having a good time doing exactly that right now."
