Why Hasn't Sean Hannity Condemned Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson For His Bigoted Remarks?

Reported by Ellen - September 11, 2010 -

Last night (9/10/10), Sean Hannity had a fit of bullboy Hanctimony as he browbeat a guest for defending the so-called Ground Zero Mosque. Puffed up with hate-mongering venom, he demanded that she denounce Hamas. The message was perfectly clear. If she didn't, the audience should conclude she's a supporter. So by that logic, we demand to know why Hannity has not denounced Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson? This is a guy who, when he was a guest on Hannity's show, said that most blacks in Memphis are "so racist" that they "still living in the 50’s and 60’s (and) so racist that they don’t even realize that white Americans have moved on. And so whenever there’s a (political) campaign like this, such as this, they always use racism in order to intimidate white America."

Peterson is also the source of other nuggets such as, "I think we all agree that Barack Obama was elected mostly by black racists and white guilty people. Peterson also once used his Fox News television platform to urge white people to voice racist thoughts.

So why does Hannity continue to sit on the advisory board of Peterson's charity? Why does Peterson continue to get invited on Hannity's show? By Hannity's own logic, his refusal to denounce Peterson is proof positive that Hannity agrees with Peterson's views.

Hannity did not respond to my email for a comment. You can reach him at hannity@foxnews.com.
