The Religious Right Eats Their Own Attacking Beck's Mormon "Deception"
Reported by Ellen - July 7, 2010 -
Think Progress notes that Christian internet minister Bill Keller has attacked Glenn Beck for allegedly trying to deceive his audience into thinking he's a Christian when he's really - Gasp! - a Mormon.
The fact is, the beliefs of the satanic Mormon cult are totally inconsistent with Biblical Christianity. (Beck) uses the words "god" and “jesus,” yet the god and jesus of the Mormon cult are NOT the God and Jesus of the Bible!...He lies to people by stating he is a Christian when a person who believes in the lies of the Mormon cult is no more a Christian than a Muslim is. Most appalling are prominent Christians who have sold out the faith to associate with Beck, more worried about what financial gain they will get from that association than helping him lead ignorant souls to hell for following his cult's beliefs.
I'm Jewish but I always thought the Christian faith had more to do with following Jesus' teachings, rather than following Bible lore. In any event, there's plenty in Beck's behavior that could be seen as un-Christian but Keller seems to have ignored all that in favor of a direct attack on Beck's labeling himself as a Christian. I can't help but think, what would Jesus say?
