Applause Suspiciously Absent From Fox News Video Of Obama

Reported by Ellen - May 24, 2010 -

Applause for President Obama speaking about ending the "combat mission in Iraq" during his speech to West Point graduates over the weekend somehow didn't make it into Fox News' video of the speech. Yet, we know the applause was there because it's in the White House's video of the speech. (H/T Chris and Media Matters, via Michael Moore)

At about the :39 mark in the first video below, from Fox News, Obama says that thanks to the "competence and creativity and courage" of our military, "we are poised to end our combat mission in Iraq this summer." No applause is seen or heard but the President looks around during what seems like a long silence.

Yet at about the 10:25 mark in the second video, from the White House, the cadets are seen and heard applauding that line.
