Foxie Ladies!

Reported by Priscilla - April 11, 2010 -

What’s up with the peroxide flood at Fox News? Check out this article from Margot Magowan, of the San Francisco Chronicle, about the “Foxification” of women at Fox News. If blondes have more fun, Fox News is one big party. I would, however, say that while the Fox anchors (certainly not “anchoresses” if you catch my drift – well cept for Greta, maybe) have, for the most part, a certain Teutonic tone to their tresses, Sarah Palin (as noted by Magowan) is, along with Julie Banderas, an exception. Is Fox News darkening – oh, nooooo!!! And despite Fox being “America’s Newsroom,” there are no African American women who anchor shows except for, on a rare occasion as a sub, Harris Faulkner. (Not that MSNBC and CNN are much better; but they do have Tamron Hall and Soledad O’Brien.) And there is some diversity in the hair tones which range from platinum, through ash, to honey blonde. As they say on “Shear Genius” (one of my favorite shows), “hair is important!"
