Beck Admits He’s “Part Of” “How Polarized We Have Become”

Reported by Ellen - April 3, 2010 -

On his special “Ask Glenn Anything “ show yesterday (4/2/10), Beck took questions from his audience. I was hoping for some Glenn Beck unplugged and unscripted, with human-interest questions such as, how has he handled the loss of so many advertisers? Has he sold his $4 million mansion in Connecticut yet and if so, what did he trade up to? How often does he go to AA meetings or even, what does he do for fun? But no, most, if not all, the questions read as if Beck had written them himself as introductions for almost any one of his monologues. Still, some of his answers surprised me, including the one in which he admitted he has played a part in the polarization of this country. It was telling, I thought, that he called the polarization “interesting.” Not bad, not worrisome, but interesting, as though that were a good thing. Then Beck, Media Matters’ Misinformer of 2009, went on to opine that all you need is not love but honesty. With video.
