Has Sarah Palin Ever Interviewed LL Cool J? Apparently Not!

This week Fox News Channel began the big roll-out for Sarah Palin’s new Faux show, “Real American Stories,” airing Thursday. [Comment: I’m sure the confluence of Sarah Pain’s show and April Fools’ Day is just a coincidence.] The promos being run relentlessly this week are promising guests that include Country crooner Toby Keith, industrialist and rich guy Jack Welch and rapper LL Cool J on her very first show.

Just one problem.

As Mr. J himself tweets: “Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW” (H/T Political Carnival)

An earlier Chicago Trib article says, “The extent of her role on the program is unclear, but she interviewed people in studio for some of the segments.” Just, obviously, not the LL Cool J segment. It will be interesting if they put a “ORIGINALLY BROADCAST - DATE” key in one of the upper corners.

While on the subject of Sarah and tee vee. There just might be a problem with another one of her tee vee extravaganzas. It was announced last week that Discovery bought “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” to run on TLC. Now it appears that her almost-son-in-law Levi Johnson, has been shopping his own series on Alaska (it’s a big place, I hear) to the various networks. As Stuart Krasnow, executive producer of Levi’s show, tentatively called “Levi Johnston’s Final Frontier,” told The Washington Post, “If I could wave my magic wand, I would want it to premiere at the exact same hour, minute and second as Sarah Palin's does.”

Now that would be a ratings war worth watching.

UPDATE: The segment with LL Cool J appears to have been removed from the show.

UPDATE 2: Oops, it looks like Palin never interviewed Toby Keith, either.

With all my love,
