Fox & Friends -- Defenders of All Things Idiotic, Including Sarah Palin

Reported by Julie - February 14, 2010 -

Well, Fox & Friends does it again . . . broke the story, got the scoop, exposed the Democratic Party in all of its liberal hypocrisy. Did ya see? Dianne Feinstein WROTE ON HER HAND IN 1990. And what does it mean, in terms of Sarah Palin's recent hand-writing debacle? You and I know what this means -- absolutely friggin' nothing. With video.

And you want to know why? Because, unlike Sarah Palin, DIANNE FEINSTEIN IS NOT AN IDIOT!

By 1990, Feinstein was Stanford educated (oh, those liberal elites), spent six years on California's womens' parole board, in 1969 was elected to San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors and spent two and half terms as its president, ran for Mayor twice (and lost), and became Mayor when "the assassinations of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk in 1978 thrust her, the board president, into the mayor’s office," and was the next year elected to the first of two full terms as mayor. Two full terms -- let me repeat that. No quitting midway through as a "lame duck." A steady upward rise . . . with a solid education (not four colleges in five years) and creds behind her.

And since 1990 . . . as noted by Who Runs Gov, "Throughout her political career, Feinstein has often been the only woman in sight." She was the first woman to serve as the president of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the mayor of San Francisco and a California senator. Not only that, but Feinstein is noted for being a "feminist vanguard." Another first, in 2006 she became the first woman to serve as chairman of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, but in January 2009 gave that up to head the Senate Intelligence Committee -- again becoming the first woman to do so.

As Who Runs Gov reported, "In the Senate, Feinstein chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee and sits on the Committee on Rules and Administration, of which she was formerly the chairwoman; the Committee on the Judiciary, where she is the chairwoman of the subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology, and Homeland Security; and the Committee on Appropriations. She introduced President Barack Obama at his inauguration as the chairwoman of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. (Feinstein is also the co-chair of the Senate’s Cancer Coalition, the Anti-Meth Caucus, the Congressional Dairy Caucus, and the Congressional Former Mayors Caucus.)"

An education at a single college; a steady rise in government and politics; a feminist; no mid-term walkaways to pursue fame and fortune on a whirlwind book tour; no riding on the coattails of hatred and bigotry to become the pro factor leader of a movement that is fueled by the uneducated and misinformed.

I don't know what Feinstein wrote on her hand, and I couldn't care less. What I do know is that Dianne Feinstein has a history rich in completed terms, finished jobs, steady ascension and heavyweight experience -- and in 1990, it's highly unlikely that the notes she wrote on her hand served to refresh her memory on her core values. Fox & Friends can do the tit-for-tat all they want -- but facts are not movable objects.
