Fox News Features Another “Democrat” To Mouth Republican Talking Points

Your World with Neil Cavuto dug up another Democrat angry at his party and echoing GOP talking points. On Wednesday (1/20/10), Cavuto spoke with George Piandes, a "lifelong Democrat" who voted for Scott Brown. Rather than focus on what Piandes liked about Brown, Cavuto seemed more interested in what Piandes did not like about Democrats. With video.

Perhaps Cavuto did not want to ask too many questions about how Piandes felt about Brown because Piandes was less than a huge supporter. He told Cavuto, "For me, it’s simply to send a message. I'm a lifelong Democrat… and this health care bill was for me, the straw that broke the camels back. They're pushing it too far."

Cavuto asked, "So that health care thing… was a decisive factor?"

"Oh yeah.” Piandes said he "knew what the effects would have on the health care bill."

"Had you in the past voted for Ted Kennedy?" Cavuto asked.

"Me and my family just always… had been big Kennedy supporters,” Then, in a sentence that must surely have warmed the hearts of everyone on the Fox News set, Piandes added, “Scott Brown was a Republican that this Democrat could vote for."

Cavuto asked if Brown won "because they were mad at the party, and they were mad at the direction of the party… Is that true?"

"Yeah… I hold President Obama in high regard,” Piandes said. “The direction, the mandate, I think he thinks he has is not there. The direction I feel like he's being pushed by the Congressional Democratic leaders is not the direction this country should go."

Comment: When can we expect to see a Republican on Your World who voted for a Democrat? Don't hold your breath on that one.
