Spring Break on Cavuto!

On Tuesday’s (8/25/09) Your World, Neil Cavuto offered a segment on stimulus money going to for sex-related studies “raising eyebrows and maybe other appendages while they’re at it.” While Cavuto dismissed the studies as “silly stuff,” the Fox News producers quickly began rolling footage of bikini-clad women in wild spring break scenes.

Sex therapist Sari Locker was the guest. She said, “Nothing about this is naughty or sexy… It has nothing to do with those sexy pictures that you’re showing.”

“I don’t know who got these images, but I borrowed them from O’Reilly,” Cavuto said. “… We just found this video along the way and we thought we’d focus on this.”

Despite Cavuto’s attempts to trivialize and sensationalize the issue, Locker said that she had actually read what the NIH is funding and “none of these seem to be frivolous. They all seem to have an implication for HIV/Aids, Syphilis, Human Papilloma Virus.”

Cavuto facetiously acknowledged, “You read the abstracts, I looked at the video.”
