Is Bill O’Reilly Promoting A Product Or Just Being A Voyeur?

Reported by Priscilla - July 31, 2009 -

“Voyeur" is defined as “a person who derives sexual gratification from observing the naked bodies or sexual acts of others, especially from a secret vantage point or “an obsessive observer of sordid or sensational subjects.” So given that definition, one does wonder if Bill O’Reilly is a voyeur as he does seem to enjoy watching the nearly naked ladies that he does seem to obsessively feature on “The Factor.” (And according to the Mackris tapes, America’s Daddy was watching porno while he was engaging in Caribbean shower fantasies!). So it’s not surprising that Bill likes to watch nearly naked (Patriot Girls) and naked (Bar Rafaeli) ladies. Bill’s most recent peep show was during a “Pinheads and Patriot” segment in which he featured naked ladies (with the “naughty bits” covered over) who are “reportedly” an example of the "age of shamless promotion” that we are living in. (oh, the irony) But interestingly, Bill, in the guise of journalistic inquiry, did a little voyeurism, last year, which involved another Guitar Hero commercial and a writhing Heidi Klum. So is Bill a voyeur, product promoter, or just a hard hitting journalist who is eager to come up with titillating new material?

Last November, Bill’s culture warrior segment discussed the appropriateness of the Guitar Hero Ad being played during the family hour – the same time as Bill O’Reilly show! After playing the entire commercial, Bill groused about the lack of television standards and mused that “nobody cares if you’re offended.” (oh, the irony!) Flash forward to July 29th and Bill shows naked ladies in order for us to “make the call” as to whether they are “pinheads or patriots.” (Memo to Bill: your pun about "getting the point" was a little lame.) While the company that produces Guitar Hero has yet to say if this popular video is an ad for Guitar Hero, Bill seems to suggest that it might be a marketing ploy. So is Bill promoting a product or just using the visuals for his own – ah – edification. And in case Bill's audience needs more - ah - stimulation he has a link to the You Tube video on his website. The question is whether journalist and “traditionalist” Bill O’Reilly is a “shill” for Guitar Hero or just a kinky voyeur. You be the judge!
