Hannity's Latest Smear Against Obama: He Doesn't Pitch Like George W. Bush

Reported by Ellen - July 25, 2009 -

During the “Hannity’s America” segment last night (7/24/09), Sean Hannity came up with a new way to smear President Obama: by supposedly showing that he pitches baseball like "a girl," and compared that to the supposedly superior pitching of former President George W. Bush. And this proves what? Hannity didn't say. With video.

At about the :45 mark in the first video below (which counts down from the end), Hannity said, “Much was made of the president’s wimpy first pitch a few weeks ago at the All Star Game in St. Louis… We went back in our archive and we took a look at past presidential pitches.” Hannity showed a photo of George W. Bush getting ready to pitch and said he bore “a startling resemblance to Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens. A photo of Clemens appeared next to Bush on the screen. Very nice form.”

Hannity then showed Barack Obama getting ready to pitch, and added, “He’s kind of looking a whole lot like Lauren Conrad, the Valley Girl star of the MTV reality show, The Hills.” A photo of Obama was shown next to, presumably Conrad. Hannity concluded by sneering, “Congratulations, Mr. President, I’m sure you made teenage girls everywhere around the world very proud.”

Yeah, and how did that “pitching arm” work out for Bush? He left office the most unpopular president in history. Besides, almost everyone knows basketball is Obama's game. You can watch Bush’s less than stellar game in the second video below, where he's playing with students in Ireland (H/T Wonkette). Underneath that is Obama playing with students in Kokomo, IN.
