Jon Stewart Points Out That Fox&Friends "Make S*#t Up" - Ya Think!
Reported by Priscilla - July 17, 2009 -
In providing some amusing Daily Show commentary about Barack Obama’s opening pitch at the All Star Game, Jon Stewart reported on Fox&Friends coverage of the event and in so doing pointed out the obvious. Stewart played a video clip of the kids’ commentary. As the Fox video of the pitch was rolling, Doocy and Kilmeade were making strange noises while Gretchen Carlson was heard saying "scooped it right out of the dirt." Doocy said, at the same time that the video of the Fox coverage of the pitch was shown again, that "extraordinarily, on the television coverage that they showed as it happened, they didn't show this. Usually you see it, it goes high, he moved up, and dug it out of the dirt." Stewart then quipped, "Wow, that is absolutely not what the footage showed. Seriously, if you're just going to make shit up about what happened, maybe you shouldn't do it while the videotape that contradicts you is playing. Caught it on the fly..." But Fox&Friends is a kids’ show and maybe that's why they engage in fantasy and making shit up!
