Glenn Beck Complains About Softball "Questions" During Sotomayor Hearing - But There Weren't Any Questions

Reported by Ellen - July 13, 2009 -

Self-importantly addressing his television audience as "America," Glenn Beck commanded that they watch his video mash up of the opening of the Sotomayor confirmation hearings. "As our country burns to the ground," Beck intoned ominously, "This is the questioning!" He continued by showing a slew of Democratic senators and Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham either praising Sonia Sotomayor or indicating there was little doubt she'd be confirmed as the next Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

The only problem? There were no questions during today's hearing.

In response to Sen. Lindsey Graham saying that Sotomayor would be confirmed unless she had a "complete meltdown," Beck put his hand melodramatically over his face and asked, "Does anybody remember when Lindsey Graham wasn't a worm?" I guess that's his way of getting at all those "burning" issues facing the country.

"This is like a cartoon show," Beck whined. He should know.
