In Review Of Impact Of Political Sex Scandals, Fox News Report Names Only Democrats
Reported by Ellen - June 25, 2009 -
In a report on Live Desk earlier today (6/25/09), Fox News' James Rosen assured the hosts that despite the current notoriety of Gov. Mark Sanford (R-SC), both political parties have been involved in sex scandals. He proceeded to provide what purported to be an overview - but it just happened to include Democrats, only: Jim McGreevey, Bill Clinton and Marion Barry.
Unfortunately, my DVD recorder was not running during the show but Media Matters also noted the imbalance in Rosen's report. Interestingly, Rosen later appeared on Studio B with a similar report that was more balanced. The two-Republican, two-Democrat lineup then included Bill Clinton, Marion Barry, David Vitter and Larry Craig.
