Despite Bigoted Comments About Obama Voters, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson Welcomed Back On Hannity

Reported by Ellen - April 3, 2009 -

While Democrats are routinely ridiculed as hating their country, there's almost no insult about President Barack Obama or Democrats that isn't tolerated, if not welcomed, on "pro-America" FOX News. The latest case in point, Rev. jesse Lee Peterson. During two recent appearances on FNC, Peterson made race-based attacks on Obama and those who elected him. Yet Peterson was back, part of Hannity's "Great American Panel" last night (4/2/09).

During his last appearance on Hannity, Peterson said, "“I think we all agree that Barack Obama was elected by, mostly by black racists and white guilty people. Most black Americans, 96 percent of them, are racists who (unintelligible) white Americans. And white folks feel guilty and they are afraid of being called racists."

A few days later, Peterson went on Glenn Beck and made similar remarks: "Most black Americans -- not all, but most black Americans have a socialist mentality. That's why they elected Barack Obama as their president, because he is the first black liberal socialist Democrat... The electing of Barack Obama was about black racism and white guilt."

During a prior appearance, in which the subject was an election in Tennessee, Peterson said, "Most blacks, not all but most in Tennessee, especially in the Memphis, Tennessee area, are still living in the 50’s and 60’s. They are so racist that they don’t even realize that white Americans have moved on. And so whenever there’s a campaign like this, such as this, they always use racism in order to intimidate white America."

During last night's appearance, Peterson wisely refrained from making racial comments and instead only attacked liberals and President Obama. You'll see Peterson in the next post.
