FOX News' Kimberly Guilfoyle Baselessly Implicates Obama Administration In Blagojevich Scandal

Reported by Ellen - January 30, 2009 -

FOX News' Kimberly Guilfoyle lately seems desperate to ingratiate herself with FOX News conservatives. Just the other day, she was on Hannity advocating for torture. Last night (1/29/09), she adopted the company line of suggesting that the Obama administration has corrupt ties to Rod Blagojevich. Guilfoyle is a lawyer but she didn't seem to feel the need to offer any evidence to back up her accusation. Her fellow panelist, Curtis Sliwa, joined in the smears. Predictably, host Sean Hannity never offered any objection to the baseless accusations. Neither did the Democratic panelist, Kirsten Powers. With video.

Curtis Sliwa made loud, attention-grabbing jokes about New Jersey being so corrupt, it “wants Blago.” Once again, the “we report, you decide” network did not let its viewers know that Sliwa has admitted to fabricating stories about being attacked for the sake of getting publicity. By the way, you get a better view of Sliwa's physique in this clip, the better to judge whether he has any right to be mocking Al Gore's weight.

Then mouthy-mouth Guilfoyle said, “The Dems don't want (Blagojevich) to spill the beans. OK? I'm sure he's had quite a few conversations with a lot of people that are presently in power and in office. Nobody's THAT clean.”

Hannity, never one to miss an opportunity to smear a Democrat, especially one connected to the White House, asked, “Is that why he mentions “Rahmbo” all the time? (Barack Obama's chief-of-staff) Rahm Emanuel?”

Guilfoyle replied, “Yeah, Rahm Emanuel, Valerie Jarrett (a top Obama advisor), Jesse Jackson, Jr. Sure! Do you think anybody wants him in – everyone wants to put as much distance as possible between them and Blagojevich.”

Sliwa added, “This is the way (politicians in Chicago) do business. Barack has done business this way. Emanuel has done business. Nobody has clean hands. Nobody's Pontius Pilate in Illinois.”

“Right,” Guilfole agreed. “And it's politics of survival and if someone else gets caught, you just flick him out of the way.”
