Neil Cavuto Screws His Audience in Order to Pimp FBN

Reported by Melanie - December 5, 2008 -

When Fox "business news" anchor, Neil Cavuto, signed off at the end of Your World today (December 5 2008), he pointed to a shot of the closing numbers on the Dow and said, "Alright. This is what we got. A 260 point gain in the Dow. Why did it happen? Why did something happen about 2:30 p.m. Eastern time that changed everything? You'll find out one hour from now on FBN."

Comment: So Cavuto, the head business honcho at Fox News and at the Fox Business Network ends his "business news" show by telling the audience that in order to hear the #1 business news story of the day they have to turn to another channel and watch another hour? What a way to run a business news show, eh?

Neil - it would have taken all of 20 seconds:

U.S. stocks jumped, reversing an early slide, as Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. led a rally in insurers after increasing its profit forecast and saying it’s weathering the credit crisis.

Just goes to show you - again - what a farce of a "business news" show Your World is and that money and ratings are everything.
