FOX compares apples and orchards to bring "balance" to Palin wardrobe scandal

Reported by Chrish - December 5, 2008 -

One of the Special Report "Grapevine" items last night, titled "Sarah Palin Not the Only Candidate Who Received Wardrobe Help," attempted some Republican Rehab by informing viewers that Democrats did it too.

The brief segment noted that "The group (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington) says Democratic Congressmen Loretta Sanchez of California and Rob Andrews of New Jersey and Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr, each spent hundreds of dollars on clothing."

They fail to report the full story as reported in the Kansas City Star and elsewhere:

"Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington said the campaigns of Democratic Reps. Loretta Sanchez of California and Rob Andrews of New Jersey, Republican candidates Bill Dew of Utah and William Breazeale of North Carolina and Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr each spent hundreds of dollars on clothing."

To compare any of these candidates spending "hundreds" to Sarah Palin's $180,000.00 and counting and her reported $110,000.00 for hair and make-up is unfair - just FOX's way of trying to diminish the scandalous amounts spent on the "hockey-mom makeover."
