On Hannity & Colmes, Dick Morris Blatantly Fundraises For GOP Candidate

Reported by Ellen - November 22, 2008 -

Dick Morris, always disingenuously introduced as “former Clinton advisor,” appeared on Hannity & Colmes last night (11/21/08) to discuss Barack Obama's likely nomination of Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State as well as the other appointments and nominations for his upcoming presidency. But Morris went out of his way to change the subject in order to make a fundraising pitch for the run-off candidacy of Republican Saxby Chambliss. So much for fair and balanced! With video.

While speaking with substitute Republican host, Michael Steele, Morris said, “We can't do anything about (the Senate race in) Minnesota. But (Republican) Saxby Chambliss is only four points ahead in Georgia. If we (my emphasis) lose Georgia, the Republican Party has zilch influence 'cause the Democrats are gonna get 60 votes. And that's why I'm urging people who care about that to go to an independent expenditure, GOPTrustdotcom, GOPTrustdotcom, and fund the effort to re-elect Saxby Chambliss. Because if we lose that seat, and we lose 60 votes, forget about it.”

Morris was not chastised for doing it.
