Fox Holds Up "Joe the Plumber" as an Authority on Business News

Reported by Melanie - October 24, 2008 -

On Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET, Fox airs what it calls its "Cost of Freedom" business block of shows. Usually the four, half-hour shows are taped but during this urgent time when Fox's propaganda machine is in full swing, Neil Cavuto has been doing double duty, anchoring the two hour slot live.

Tomorrow's "special" is called "Stock Shock" and per Cavuto's promos this afternoon "a lot of big names," like Mike Huckabee, Wilbur Ross, Libby Dole and Bernie Sanders will be on to talk about the "stock shock" and, undoubtedly, about how Barack Obama and the Democrats are at the root of it all (Sanders will be the "fair and balanced" token guest).

Among the "experts" who will impart their wisdom to the gullible audience will be — drum roll please — Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher! Yes, he was on Cavuto's show today (October 24, 2008) too, talking about the markets and what's going on in Washington and "on main street." Who knew huh? I mean he's a plumber (I think) and a business expert too?! Amazing. Oh, and Wurzelbacher is going to be making an "exclusive announcement." He's going to run for congress? (I guess that's one way to get the base to watch.)
