Paul Krugman gets Nobel Prize

Reported by Chrish - October 13, 2008 -

One of Bill O'Reilly's favorite targets is Paul Krugman, a Princeton University Professor of Economics and International Affairs, author or co-author of dozens of books on the subject, and a New York Times columnist. Today we can add to that resume Nobel Prize winner: Krugman was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences on Monday. Congratulations to Mr. Krugman.

O'Reilly has consistently belittled Krugman as farleft and anti-Bush because Krugman has all along forecasted a dismal end to the era of Bush economic policies. He accused the economist of hoping for disaster just so he could blame Bush, dumbing down the discussion to a third-grade level and ignoring Krugman's intellect and professionalism. I'm glad it was recognized by the Nobel committee, and am not holding my breath waiting for a gracious acknowledgement (we know he'll never, ever apologize) from O'Reilly.
