Fox: Paul Krugman Won the Nobel Prize Because he Hates Bush

Reported by Melanie - October 13, 2008 -

That's right. That would be the gist of a segment on Your World w/Neil Cavuto (Fox's "business news" show) today (October 13, 2008) featuring Dan Gainor of the "Media Research Center."

Over a chyron that read, "Highly Opinionated NYT Columnist Wins Economic Nobel Prize," Gainor said, "It's completely in keeping of what they've been doing the last couple of years. They've had, they've given Al Gore, they've given Jimmy Carter, they've given the U.N.'s Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change. The last three literary awards have gone to left and lefter writers [the chyron changes to: "Nobel Prize: A Prize for Bashing President Bush?] and according to this paper called the New York Times, there's a lot of critics who are questioning whether the committee is actually making decisions based on reasons other than, you know, best literary reasons. So it goes to figure that maybe that's in keeping with how they're making all their decisions."

Cavuto said Krugman's "so over the top crazy rantings" have been "richly rewarded in, in probably one of the most august prizes anyone can hope to get."

Comment: We could have predicted this one, huh? If their guy doesn't win, whoever does is the enemy.
