Bill Clinton Gives Fox an Opening to Declare: "Clinton Defends McCain!"

Reported by Melanie - September 25, 2008 -

We all agree that the Republicans are masters at staying on message and unambiguously supporting their party and their candidates and their causes, right? They speak with one voice or, they have for the last seven years (they seem to be breaking up a bit over this bailout thing), right?

And then there are the Democrats. They've never learned how to do that nor the importance of it. Case in point, Bill I'll Say What Ever I Damn Well Want to Say Clinton.

Clinton was on Good Morning America today (September 25, 2008) and he said this about John McCain wanting to delay tomorrow's debate:

You can put it off a few days the problem is it's hard to reschedule those things," Clinton said, "I presume he did that in good faith since I know he wanted — I remember he asked for more debates to go all around the country and so I don't think we ought to overly parse that.

And Fox used it to make this declaration (note the chyron):

Which was accompanied by Neil Cavuto wondering if Clinton is "going to botch it" for Obama and the introduction of Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a former Hillary Clinton supporter turned McPalin voter. de Rothschild was on Your World as recently as last Thursday and today she basically bashed Obama like she did that day.

Way to go Bill.

(Notice the background in the shots of McCain and Obama. McCain the patriot. Obama the scary black guy.)
