Could it be that T. Boone Pickens Is Not Going to Vote for McCain?

Reported by Melanie - August 27, 2008 -

T. Boone Pickens was a guest today (August 27, 2008) on Your World w/Neil Cavuto. Early in the segment Cavuto tried to get Pickens to endorse John McCain — as he frequently does with people who he thinks are safe bets to endorse his guy — but Pickens wouldn't.

Pickens was talking about meeting with representatives of both parties and specifically with Harry Reid, which apparently happened today. Pickens said he told Reid that he is not going to be active in politics this year because he, "can't sell the Pickens plan and be active. So I said count me out. I'm on the sidelines."

Cavuto said, "Alright, but obviously you gotta vote," to which Pickens responded, "Well, we'll see." Taken aback, Cavuto said, "Wow. So it's conceivable that Boone Pickens could vote for Barack Obama?" Pickens said, "Unlikely."

Comment: Seems to me that the logical next question would be, are you going to sit this election out altogether? But no! Cavuto didn't dare go there. Imagine if Pickens had said yes. That would have screwed up the meme Cavuto's been pushing since late May that it's the Democrats who are in total disarray.
