Two Weeks Ago, Fox's Oil "Expert" Predicted We'd be Paying $2.50 for a Gallon of Gas - as of Today

Reported by Melanie - July 31, 2008 -

On July 16, 2008, two days after George Bush lifted his ban on offshore drilling, Fox's oil "expert," Eric Bolling ("the world's leading oil speculator" - no conflict there huh?), appeared on Your World w/Neil Cavuto in a segment captioned, "Stocks Soar as Oil Prices Dive for a Second Day." At the end of the segment, Bolling predicted that oil would be selling for $100.00 a barrel and you and I would be paying $2.50 a gallon - roughly as of today.

Here's what he said:

"I think that $130.00 - if you trade below $130.00 in the next couple of weeks - I think we're going right back to $100.00. By the way, back at $100.00, that's about a $2.50 price at the pump. It's all good news. Oil goes down, the stock market goes up. It's easy."

Here's video:

He repeated this prediction several times in the days that followed, changing it a bit here and there but still tantalizing viewers and leading them to believe that if "we" can (if Democrats "let us") drill wherever "we" want, the price of gas will go way down - within weeks.

I'll put this post up now and then so we can keep track of which area, precisely, Bolling is the "expert" in - oil or propaganda.
