FOX Trots Out Liz Trotta To Criticize Obama

Reported by Deborah - July 27, 2008 -

Liz Trotta was back on FOX News this morning, 7/27. This time she only criticized Senator Obama on his trip instead of joking about his assassination.

On America’s Election Headquarters this morning, Fox continues to push the "Obama is a rock star" theme. Today they paraded a Fox News poll showing the media favors Obama by 67% and McCain and neutral get 11%. The concept that Barack Obama may be more interesting to cover did not come up, but they did manage to dig up the woman who joked about the Senator's assassination, Liz Trotta.

Ms Trotta was famously quoted as saying on Fox:

"[...] and now we have what some are reading as a suggestion that somebody knock off Osama. Um, uh, Obama. Well both, if we could." (She followed this comment with laughter.” May 25th

And her follow up apology:

"I am so sorry about what happened yesterday. In a lame attempt at humor I really just fell all over myself in making it appear that I wished Barack Obama harm or any other candidate for that matter. I sincerely regret it and apologize to anybody I’ve offended. It’s a very colorful political season and many of us are making mistakes and saying things we wish we hadn’t said." May 26th

Fox knew who to talk to for fair and balanced opinion on their fresh shiny in house poll: As apparently Trotta has credibility again.

“Obama was giving answers but there were no microphones to pick up the questions”

On Obama, “but overall, what happened was proof once more that you don’t really have to know something, what you really have to do is appear to be knowing something. And on that scale, certainly the trip was a triumph.”

Fox has apparently forgiven this inciter, and used her for what else, attacking Senator Obama again
