An Alarmingly Uninformed Lanny Davis Says Democrats Are "Looking At Fox as a Fair and Balanced Network"

Reported by Melanie - July 8, 2008 -

Lanny Davis, an extremely good friend, confidant and advisor to Bill and Hillary Clinton and a new addition to the Fox News "family," was on Your World w/Neil Cavuto today (July 8, 2008). He appeared in a segment during which Fox was trying to fabricate a new controversy that would reinforce its mantra that Democrats are unpatriotic and anti-military. Davis obviously had no idea what was going on nor a clue as to how Fox was using him.

At the end of the segment substitute host David Asman mentioned that former Clinton senior campaign adviser Howard Wolfson recently joined Fox.

This was Davis' comment:

"Fox has made the right decision because Democrats are looking at Fox as a fair and balanced network. Certainly the way they covered the presidential campaign on the Democratic side was one of the reasons that caused me to want to be here at Fox and and having Howard along side, ah, with people like Karl Rove, I think raises the level of Fox's dialogue."

Here's video:

Comment: Davis literally doesn't know what he's talking about. He might want to read some of the 12,106 entries on this site to get a better sense of just how "fair and balanced" Fox hasn't has been thus far during this presidential campaign. And he might want to note that whenever he's on, he's on defense, but when Karl Rove's on, he's on offense. Man, this guy is out of touch.
