Bill O'Reilly Reveals Media Plot To Get Obama Elected

Reported by Deborah - July 7, 2008 -

According to Bill O'Reilly, the media, in an effort to get Obama elected, has joined forces to promote the theme that our country is in decline which will make voters choose Obama over McCain. Tonight he tried to convince viewers that the status quo is just fine and McCain is just the man to keep it that way. If we have problems, blame the Democrats who just want to take your (his) money and "redistribute" it. 7/7/08

O'Reilly started on this in his weekly column posted on his website. His column focused on one New York Times article and the media plot concept had not yet been developed.

The piece BOR was probably referring to was an Op/Ed by Thomas L. Friedman, Anxious in America Here's what Friedman had to say about "decline" that probably got BOR's attention.

"My fellow Americans: We are a country in debt and in decline — not terminal, not irreversible, but in decline. Our political system seems incapable of producing long-range answers to big problems or big opportunities. We are the ones who need a better-functioning democracy — more than the Iraqis and Afghans. We are the ones in need of nation-building. It is our political system that is not working."

O'Reilly stated in his TPM, " Most Americans are not committed liberals and fair-minded and want a leader who is looking out for them" adding that "ideology" will play a small part in November. He concluded that knowing that, the media has launched a theme about the country being in decline so voters will choose Obama over McCain.

O'Reilly told viewers that everything is going well and even blamed the gap between rich and poor on liberals who he says are responsible for our inferior schools. Of course, Bill made no mention of the spectacular failure of the under funded Bush plan, No Child Left Behind nor asked what this administration has done to improve the schools in 8 years. For that matter, he said nothing about what McCain plans to do besides cut more funding for education to maintain the tax cuts and a never ending war
