A Few Short Hours After Dick Cheney Lies to the World, Neil Cavuto Backs Him Up

Reported by Melanie - June 12, 2008 -

Yesterday (June 11, 2008), Dick Cheney addressed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He quoted, "[A] column by George Will, who wrote last week that 'drilling is under way 60 miles off Florida. The drilling is being done by China, in cooperation with Cuba, which is drilling closer to South Florida than U.S. companies are.'"

Turns out, what I-have-oil-in-my-veins Cheney said is a lie. I repeat, a lie.

As for Cavuto, the "news" guy, the "journalist," the one who's supposed to do the digging and find out whether guys like Dick are telling the truth? Roughly two hours later he said this on his Your World "business news" show: "We've virtually closed off everything new in the Gulf and off the Atlantic coast of Florida — 50 miles off the coast of Florida — so much so that the Cubans and the Chinese [yikes!] are, are drilling for oil right in our own backyard. They can. We can't. That's weird, right?"

Here's video:

Comment: Can't you just see the memo Fox got from the WH yesterday morning?

In an address to the ruling class today, President Dick Cheney will repeat George Will's lie (the purchasing class will suck it up!) brilliant argument about how Red China and Communist Cuba are stealing our oil!!! Heck, you could sit on a beach in Florida and see 'em doin' it. Dick's friends (and W's too) want to drill, drill, drill, so push this. Push it!! ASAP! Do. It. Now.

Cavuto reads it, salutes, and goes on-air.
