Michelle Malkin quickie smear of Democratic candidate

Reported by Chrish - June 11, 2008 -

Michelle Malkin attempted to cause an uproar on FOX and Friends this morning by asserting that one of the three persons on Barack Obama's vice-president search committee presents a "problem," that being the big H-word hypocrisy.

Barack Obama has been "beating up on mortgage lenders" over the sub-prime crisis (there's some more of that violent rhetoric) but it turns out the "his lead search person for his VP selection committee" is "best friends" (but apparently not BFF) with an executive at Countrywide Mortgage, one of the "lead demons" in the sub-prime crisis. She alleged that the unnamed lead person has gotten special loans from the Countrywide person, also unnamed, and there's a huge conflict of interest. Obama has just shrugged it off, "even though he's made a big deal out of being a, uh, a, uh, uh, a spearheader of, of the new politics and not being involved with these kind of Beltway insiders."

Brian Kilmeade agreeably said that Obama claims he doesn't have time to vet the vets, and unfortunately they don't have time to go into it.

Of course not. No names, just a drive-by smear, name-calling and innuendo, that's all they have time for.
