From O'Reilly's perspective, there's only left and far left.

Reported by Chrish - June 10, 2008 -

Steve Young writes at Huffington Post:

"On the June 9th Radio Factor, Bill O'Reilly called the Far Left the greatest danger to the country, and once again claimed to be an Independent who didn't have to excoriate the far right because 'after Tim McVeigh and the Oklahoma bombing, the government put an end to militias.'"
What?!?!?

Who is this evil far left of which he speaks? Well, we are, of course: "off the charts left." But Young suggests we're in excellent company: Nancy Pelosi, a "far-left secular-progressive bomb thrower," George Soros, "the single most dangerous individual in the United States of America," the ACLU, "the most dangerous organization in the United States of America right now...They're, like, second next to Al Qaeda," Mediamatters.com, "the worst Americans in the country." And, of course, Bill Moyers. Russ Feingold, Chuck Schumer, Barbara Boxer, Ted Kennedy and John Conyers, Howard Dean and John Podesta. Al Franken. Barack Obama. Jodie Foster, Meg Ryan, Drew Barrymore, Danny DeVito, The Osbornes, Ellen Degeneres, Matthew Perry, Billy Crystal, Sharon Stone, Bill Maher, Susan Sarandon, Harry Belafonte, George Clooney, Barbra Streisand, Michael Moore. Molly Ivins, Frank Rich, Robert Scheer, Bob Herbert, Paul Krugman, Brian Lowry, Joel Stein, Media Matters for America, Air America Radio, moveon.org, NY Times,Atlanta Journal Constitution, Paul Krugman, The Boston Globe, San Francisco Chronicle, St. Petersburg Times, Dayton Daily News,Syracuse Post-Standard.

These are O'Reilly's brothers and sisters in (virtual) arms (they are mostly chickenhawks, remember. Except for the military types who now profit from endless wars.) He won't go after them because from where he sits, they look moderate, and moderates look far left, and liberals are off-the-charts. Journalists are supposed to leave their biases at the door as much as possible, but O'Reilly is paid, very well, to shout his out every night. Fair and balanced? No spin? It's a joke, get it? And the joke is on his loyal followers.
