Harry Reid: Anyone That Has Served In The Senate With John McCain Has Seen His Temper

Reported by Ellen - May 24, 2008 -

During a “best of” Hannity & Colmes last night (5/23/08), I caught something during Alan Colmes’ interview with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that I either missed or didn’t have time to write about the first time. When asked by Alan Colmes about Senator John McCain’s candidacy, Reid called him a flawed candidate. One reason Reid gave, “We all know about his temperament... Anyone that has served in the Senate with John McCain has seen his temper.”

Colmes asked Reid, “Can McCain win in the fall?”

Reid replied, “Oh, I think he’s had a tremendously uphill battle. He’s lost his, his oomph with the independents. He is flawed in many different ways. We all know about his temperament...”

Colmes honed in on that. “You mentioned temperament. Having worked with him, have you seen evidence of what has been discussed as a temper? Have you seen first hand any of that?”

“Anyone that has served in the Senate with John McCain has seen his temper,” Reid responded.

“Any examples?” Colmes asked.

Reid said, “I’m not going to get into personal examples but believe me, I could give you some.”
