Fox "Business News" — You Still Buyin' That? (2nd Ed.)

Reported by Melanie - April 20, 2008 -

Welcome to my second weekly wrap, "Fox 'Business News' - You Still Buyin' That?" If Fox insists on claiming that Your World w/Neil Cavuto is a business news show, fine. We'll take them up on that.

Some of the more significant business news headlines from the past week include:

•• The California unemployment rate increased to 6.2%.
•• Citigroup announced $13 billion in write downs.
•• Merrill Lynch announced $6.6 billion in write downs.
•• March single family housing starts were the lowest since January, 1991.
•• Foreclosures in the United States jumped, year over year, 57% in March.

But today, April 20, 2008 (screenshot below taken (@ 11:42 a.m. ET), Mr. Fox Business News' website looks pretty much like it has for months. Don't see much business news at all. As a matter of fact, notice that the first major section (below "Your World wNeil Cavuto Features), is titled "America's Election HQ." This site belongs to the managing editor of business news at Fox. Where's the beef Neil? (Point being that Fox props Cavuto up as a "business news" guy but he's nothing more than another two-bit right wing hack, not to be overlooked in the propagandosphere.)
