After Decrying Tacky Trinkets That Cheapen the Pope's Visit, Cavuto Uses the Pope to Promote Fox Business News

Reported by Melanie - April 17, 2008 -

On April 9, Neil Cavuto aired a segment captioned, "Pope's Visit Spawns Slew of Pope Products." It was about how it was almost sacrilegious — the tacky products like key chains and bumper stickers — that were being produced to sell during the Pope's visit, cheapening it.

Then today (April 17, 2008), Cavuto said this about program changes on Fox News and Fox Business News that will occur Saturday morning due to coverage of the Pope's visit:

If you're not getting that network [Fox Business Network], ah, just go to confession, see if they can give you one. Now, if His Holiness has wanted some stock tips and doesn't get Fox Business Network himself, then, please, please your Holy Father, there is the business block on FNC from 2 to 4 PM Eastern time that day on this news channel. So you're covered on the Fox business Network and Fox News Channel.

Comment: Wouldn't want to cheapen the Pope's visit, now would we Neil?
