Bill O'Reilly Reports Jeremiah Wright " Living Large" with " No Ghetto In Sight"

Reported by Deborah - April 15, 2008 -

Bill O'Reilly, promising an investigation, claimed tonight, 4/15/08, that Jeremiah Wright is a hypocrite because he soon will be "living large" in a 10,000 foot home in an " all white neighborhood'' and " no ghetto in sight." O'Reilly speaking to Amanda Carpenter, Townhall.com, sculpted the information from an article published 4/14 by Ron Kessler, News Max to make the case that Wright is not who he pretends to be. with video

O'Reilly claimed that Wright was raised in a " comfortable suburb" of Philadelphia and attended " good schools" suggesting that Wright was divorced from the African American experience. In reality Wright was raised in Germantown which is a neighborhood within the city limits.

As a lifetime resident of Philadelphia, I can say with certainty that Germantown was not a "comfortable suburb".When Wright lived there, a small portion of Germantown was middle class, pleasant and tree lined with brightly painted Victorian twin houses while a larger portion was a typical city neighborhood with too much cement and too many corner bars.

O'Reilly's claim that Wright went to " good schools" suggests that he attended suburban or private schools. According to Kessler's article , Wright went to a Central High School which is public and inner city and open to any student with good grades and an above average IQ. Although it's a phenomenal school, it's far from cushy or elitist.

O'Reilly shared his theory about Wright claiming he became a radical later on as a calculated move because his Chicago church wasn't doing well so he became militant to attract people.Carpenter added that when Wright started, the Church had 87 members and he was under pressure so he adopted the " black values voters system"

BOR showed a shot of the house under construction claiming there was a $10 million line of credit for the house. Carpenter brought the numbers back to earth telling him that Wright bought the land on a golf course for $345,000 and the Church is providing the $1.6 million to build the house.

BOR proclaimed, " This bares investigation."

comment: What in the world does this have to do with Barack Obama? O'Reilly is claiming that Wright can't possibily criticize America because he's always been comfortable here and has received a good education and has accomplished and respectable parents.Somehow, the fact that Wrights church members are providing a home for him that BOR considers opulent makes Wright a hypocrite. Worst of all, O'Reilly thinks Jeremiah Wright is a hypocrite because his new home is in an " all white neighborhood" with " no ghetto" in sight. What in the world does that say about Bill O'Reilly?
