Partisan Approach To Truth on Fox's American Election HQ

Reported by Deborah - April 14, 2008 -

Today on American Election HQ, Megyn Kelly took a rather partisan look at some results from Politifact.com a project of the St. Petersburg Times and Congressional Quarterly to help you find the truth in the presidential campaign. Out of five statements evaluated for truth, four were from the Clintons and one from John McCain.

As might be expected, the Democrats came out looking bad and John McCain was portrayed as an innocent fibber making a statement about Obama's lack of foreign policy experience that was found false.

It seems, however, that there's a load of information about McCain found on Politifact.com that Kelly and FOX conveniently ignored.

Most damaging were the evaluations of statements made by Moveon.org which were all found to be true.

McCain opposes a woman's right to choose

"The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children."

He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a zero from the League of Conservation Voters last year."

"John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr."

On FOX News, they get to decide what truth to report.
