Why FOX Women Don't Wear Pants

Reported by Ellen - March 3, 2008 -

I caught some of Sunday’s Fox & Friends when Brian Kilmeade was joking with newsreader Ainsley Earhardt about wearing pantsuits. He asked if she owned a pantsuit. She said that she did; but “the women on Fox like to be feminine and that’s why we don’t wear the pants.” But they do wear very short skirts; thus prompting Mark Dice, from a Christian media watchdog group, to say "I see shorter skirts on the women of Fox News than I do on the prostitutes being arrested on cop shows." So is this just another example of the right wing “patriarchy” that seeks to impose its 1950’s world view on its female staff or is it Murdoch tabloid style “journalism” that seeks to exploit cleavage and legs for ratings? I report, you decide.
