Outrageous Quote of the Week 2/16/08

Reported by Chrish - February 18, 2008 -

Here's something Mitt Romney can win - he picked up 43% of the vote last week for this extreme accusation:

"And Barack and Hillary have made their intentions clear regarding Iraq and the war on terror. They would retreat and declare defeat. And the consequence of that would be devastating. It would mean attacks on America, launched from safe havens that make Afghanistan under the Taliban look like child’s play. About this, I have no doubt."
Buh-bye, Mitt. Tell your five sons they can all enlist now that your campaign is over and you're backing the biggest war-monger of all. This week's nominees are below the jump..

Option A: "Whether it is interrogation of terror prisoners or the intercepting of surveillance among al Qaeda members, are you ever puzzled by all of the concern in this country about protecting of rights of people who want to kill us?" Chris Wallace interviewing Bush, FOX News Sunday 2/10/08

Option B: ( Over a chyron that read "Coulter: Hillary Clinton Lost Last Night Because of Me") "Yes, my endorsement strategy worked perfectly." [snip] "It's shocking that he's probably going to be our next president - President Hussein." Ann Coulter, Your World w/Neil Cavuto, 2/13/08

Option C: "Could you just hang on there a second. Some people might be a bit confused [graph on screen]. I do not mean to CNBC you folks back at home and confuse the heck out of you." Neil Cavuto, talking to Steve Moore of the WSJ (and the Club for Growth) about how "Obamanomics" will destroy the country, Your World, 2/15/08

Option D: "Twenty-eight Democratic senators voted against coerced interrogation of captured terror suspects and warrantless surveillance of overseas phone calls made to suspected terrorist locations. " ... "And in this high-tech world, if U.S. intel cannot zero in on communications immediately, then crucial information will be lost. Everybody knows that." ... "But reasonable people understand that fighting fanatical terror killers requires speed and resolve. So why are these senators so opposed? All of them are liberal thinkers." Bill O'Reilly misreprsenting facts, O'Reilly Factor, 2/14/08

Option E: "Silver Lining - British scientists say that global warming could end up saving thousands of lives over the next few years. A government study reported that while a massive heat wave could cause 6,000 deaths, that number pales in comparison to the number of deaths each year due to cold weather — about 20,000." Brit Hume, Special Report, 2/13/08
