Hannity & Colmes Ignores Terrorism-Related Charges Against Republican Politician But Offers Special Alert For Karl Rove’s Advice On How To Defeat Democrats

Reported by Ellen - January 16, 2008 -

FOX News’ prime time debate show, Hannity & Colmes, ignored a 42-count terrorism-related indictment against former Congressman Mark Deli Siljander earlier today. Siljander was charged with illegally funneling about $130,000 to an Afghan warlord designated as a terrorist with links to Al Qaeda. Could the “real journalism, fair and balanced” network’s decision have anything to do with the fact that Siljander is a Republican? Nah, of course not! That same spirit of fairness and balance was also evident in the “Campaign Alert” that the viewers did see (with swoosh and all) in which “Karl Rove reveals strategy for beating Obama and Clinton.” Screen grab after the jump.

The indictment of Siljander comes less than a week after FOX News gave "terrorism expert" Steve Emerson a platform from which to allege that radical Islamists have infiltrated the United States government. You'd think an arrest like this would be worthy of at least a small discussion.
