Neil Cavuto Begs His Audience to Watch the Fox Business Network

Reported by Melanie - January 9, 2008 -

The new Fox "Business" Network (FBN) is off to such a dismal start that Neil Cavuto, the anchor of the "premiere business news" show that airs on Fox News (FNC), is literally begging his viewers to call their cable provider to "demand" they carry it.

Here's how Cavuto closed a segment today (January 9, 2008) about Rudy Giuliani's new tax plan being the "best plan for America:"

By the way, in about 90 minutes, I will be speaking live with Rudy Giuliani. It will be his first interview since outlining his tax plan. You can only catch it on Fox Business Network. That's coming up at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time. If you don't get this network, demand this network from your cable provider.

Here's video:

Comment: On July 17, 2007, Cavuto formally announced the debut of the new Fox "Business" Network, claiming it would reach 30 million homes, "for starters." With viewers numbering around 6,000 during the day, and 15,000 during prime time (see link in the first paragraph), it doesn't look like many of those 30 million homes, "for starters," are tuning in. No wonder Cavuto has been reduced to begging.
