The Corporate Media Freaks Out Over the Popularity of Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee -- Some of Fox's Weekday Shows Go Live This Weekend to Nip it in the Bud

Reported by Melanie - January 4, 2008 -

Neil Cavuto, Fox's "business news" anchor, signed off today (January 4, 2008) with an announcement. He said his weekday show "will be back" on Sunday, live, for a, "two hour bloc that's looking at the economic implications of the Iowa vote and what could come ahead in the days comin' up." Cavuto then tossed to John Gibson (host of the Big Head's Story). He said he'd be live too.

Comment: On Fox, a look, "at the economic implications of the Iowa vote" means how-can-we-scare-the-folks-into-believing-that-Obama-and-Huckabee-are-going-to-tax-them-to-death-and-wreck-America. I'm trying to remember the last time Cavuto worked on a Sunday -- for two hours -- live. Was it after Katrina? Spinning what a great job Bush did? It escapes me now but man, the corporatists obviously view the Obama/Huckabee win in Iowa as an emergency -- something that needs to be quashed, now. Heaven forbid there might be any talk about anything but more war and tax cuts for the rich.
