Outrageous Quote of the Week 11/17/07

Reported by Chrish - November 18, 2007 -

John Gibson of The Big Story took top honors last week for his statement that "On yet another front, a published report today said that homelessness is virtually over. People may have crushing mortgages, but they have homes." (Of course the study said no such thing.) Vote for this week's declaration doozy after the jump.

Option A: "As you know if you watch us on a regular basis, we are fair to Senator Clinton. " Bill O'Reilly, O'Reilly Factor, 11/15/07

Option B: (The war funding bill passed by the House) "is an appeasement of the farleft, the Code Pink Left, the Democrat Party; it appeases Osama bin Laden and all of the radical jihadis out there in radical Islam, and it's an attempt to undo the only legacy that George Bush will have. And that to me is part of what their strategy is been. It's not just about the next election, it's not just about that farleft fringe that is so financially beneficial to them. It's also about undoing the legacy of [Bush]. The only thing [he] is going to point back to - and it'll make a difference 50 years from now - is the success in the war against radical Islam. ... He's the guy who started it, to fight back, and he's the one who had the vision to do that. In 50 years from now people'll realize that, and they want to undo that legacy, and they're gonna fight hard to do it." Oliver North, FOX and Friends, 11/16/07

Option C: "Every man, woman, and child in this country should get down on their knees and thank Wal-Mart for their low prices." Gary B. Smith, Bulls & Bears, 11/17/07

Option D: "Democrats kind of are like toddlers, aren't they, a little bit? They do want mommy and daddy in the form of government and they don't care where mommy and daddy get the money." Brenda Buttner regarding John Edwards' $2 billion family leave proposal, Your World w/Neil Cavuto, 11/13/07

Option E: "Listen, we're movin' away from god in this society and it's really scary, you know. I mean 24/7 decadence on TV. That's all our kids really watch, you know, to ridicule believers in god, that's the most popular thing on TV these days. You know what? If the bible's there and you don't want to read it, fine. But I think it's important that we - we're reminded of it. Then when we glance over and see the bible that we are reminded of god. That we've got to stop more often as a nation and think about this because I think, you know, we're on some of the wrong paths here. And certainly I don't see why it would hurt. I'd prefer to see a bible in a hotel room rather than a condom." Charles Payne, discussing the fact that some hotels are swapping out bibles for intimacy kits which include condoms, Cavuto on Business, 11/17/07

Option F: "We can tell our military, you don't have to protect San Francisco or Cambridge because apparently they don't support you." Laura Ingraham, O'Reilly Factor, 11/16/07
