Laura Ingraham Says Military Doesn't Have To Protect San Francisco and Cambridge

Reported by Deborah - November 16, 2007 -

Laura Ingraham, filling in for Bill O'Reilly tonight, covered the Boy Scouts in Cambridge, Mass. story that Cavuto did earlier today. As Melanie reported , a boy scout troop was collecting gifts for the troops outside a polling place and were asked to move because they were breaking a law, Geoffrey Nathan , defense attorney, tried to discuss the legal aspects of the case but Ingraham wouldn't let him make his point because she was intent on bashing Cambtidge.

Melanie reported that Cavuto didn't mention the Boy Scout's collection boxes were at polling places. Ingraham failed to tell viewers that written permission was legally required for the Boy Scout troop. When Nathan brought up that important point, she argued they had gotten verbal permission which should have been enough. Then she blocked him from giving any details about the legalities involved. Ingraham insisted if the scouts had been collecting for AIDS and handing out condoms, Cambridge would have no problem with it then she made this BORish comment.

"We can tell our military, you don't have to protect San Francisco or Cambridge because apparently they don't support you."
