Is California Getting Better Care With Tragedy Than Katrina Victims Did In New Orleans?

Reported by Donna - October 23, 2007 -

The whole Studio B show with Shepard Smith today had coverage of the wildfires in California. They spoke with a family who had been evacuated to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego where they had the largest gathering of evacuees in San Diego.

They didn't mention how many had been evacuated there but said it was the largest gathering of evacuees in San Diego.

Studio B spoke with one family in Qualcomm Stadium who said it was amazing. Water, food, blankets, bottles of water were offered to them. The woman said that people kept offering them food. Someone was standing where people were filtering in offering blankets for the night when it gets a little chilly. She said they announced breakfast was ready and things couldn't be better.

Comment: Just a comparison to how these people are being treated compared to the people who evacuated to the SuperDome in New Orleans during Katrina. Like I said, I don't have the numbers involved, they weren't given, but is there a reason that they have excellent treatment in Southern California while we know about the horrible treatment they received in New Orleans?

We report, you decide.
