Bill O'Reilly Uses Bully Tactics To Get Bruce Springsteen On The Factor

Reported by Deborah - October 9, 2007 -

Bill O'Reilly started one of his crusades last night against Bruce Springsteen after his interview with Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes on Sunday. Although Springsteen openly and thoroughly expressed his concerns to Pelley, BOR challenged him to come on The Factor to back up his statements claiming he would donate $25,000 to Habitat For Humanity if he accepted with the taunt, " So if you're a man, come in here."

Kinky Friedman appeared last night countering Bill's ridiculous hysterical bravado.Bill was concerned that Springsteen's message would influence the young voters saying " He's been consistently liberal for decades!" (On FOX News thats a crime and a communicable disease)

Here's a small exerpt from Springsteen that BOR displayed to agitate his foot soldiers.

"Well, I think that we've seen things happen over the past six years that I don't think anybody ever thought they'd ever see in the United States. When people think of the American identity, they don't think of torture. They don't think of illegal wiretapping. They don't think of voter suppression. They don't think of no habeas corpus. No right to a lawyer … you know. Those are things that are anti-American."

O'Reilly, laying out his tough guy challenge, said this to Kinky Friedman.

"America is a torture nation, no habeas corpus. We're eavesdropping on everybody. It's bull. It's bull, Mr. Friedman. It isn't happening. It's out of context. Bruce Springsteen doesn't know what he's talking about. I'll give $25K to Habitat for Humanity if he'll come in and sit here. And you know why he won't come in and sit here? Because he knows that I'd wipe him out. He couldn't stand up to the questioning. And we'd be respectful. We're respectful to you"

Of course, tonight in his Patriots and Pinheads segment, he taunted Springsteen again because he didn't accept the challenge saying " He's not un-American, just a pinhead." Believe it or not Vincente Fox got Patriot honors for coming on The Factor. Wonder what the Minutemen think of that move.
