A Cool Song About The War And FOX News

Reported by Ellen - September 18, 2007 -

One of our readers sent us a song he wrote called Where Does This War Get Us? whose lyrics feature FOX News and Sean Hannity. We enjoyed listening to it and thought our readers would, too.

The lyricist, writer and performer is an unsigned artist, GT. He sent us the following information about him, his music and his feelings about FOX News.

I am a 26-year old emcee (who) was never into politics much, but began falling asleep to Bill O'Reilly on the radio on my lunchbreaks. This opened up the can of worms. I began watching his show, then Hannity & Colmes, and eventually formed my opinion. To me, it's plain and almost comical to see how politically biased FOX News really is. What began my irritation is when O'Reilly would "over-talk" any guest who had a legitimate counter-point exposing Bill's hypocrisy or better lack of judgement on an issue. From there, I developed a great annoyance toward Sean Hannity. He's so immature and silly with his political rants I get very annoyed. I'm disturbed that he's even allowed air time as many times as I've seen him purposely take U.S. Senators and Congressman out of context to prove a misleading point. I found your site through an internet blog, and was pleased to find out that I wasn't the only one on the planet so annoyed by the slogan "fair and balanced" and I was very proud of the work that NewsHounds performs on a daily basis. I'd like to see an end to people of the US being called "far left loons," "socialists," NAZIS", "troop haters," "treasonists" all simply for disagreeing with the point of the war, or with any other conservative point for that matter. The rhetoric is child-like and despicable. I'm not heavy into politics, but I do enjoy current events and I do enjoy your site. I appreciate it!
