Blatant partisanship at FOXNews.com
Reported by Chrish - September 9, 2007 -
A new story out of Florida, which seems to be a sanctuary state for Republican adulterers and deviants, relates that St. Petersburg City Councilman John Bryan apparently committed suicide hours after handing in his resignation, after being ordered out of his home amidst allegations of sexual relationships with three females in the home, including at least one adopted daughter. It's a sad and sordid story; of interest to us is FOXnews.com's coverage (and, for that matter, their Florida affiliate MyFoxTampaBay.com), which glaringly omits the Councilman's party affiliation (Republican, as if you didn't already know).
The information is available in other news reports, namely TampaBay.com, which reported
"Three years later, Bryan built a formidable team that included help from Charlie Crist and GOP heavyweight Mel Sembler, as well as two former mayors. He was elected that year and easily won re-election in 2005."
and the Tampa Bay Tribune, which reported
"He was considered a rough-around-the-edges Republican and strong ally of Mayor Rick Baker...."
This could be considered an oversight if FOX didn't have a history of mislabeling or simply not identifying Republicans caught up in scandals, financial, ethical, or sexual. There was no doubt about the party affiliation of fundraiser and donor Norman Hsu:
Democratic Donor a No Show at Hearing
Disgraced Dem Donor Arrested in Colorado
Disgraced Democratic Donor Norman Hsu Arrested in Colorado, Remains in Hospital
Disgraced Democratic Donor Norman Hsu to be Handed Over to Local Authorities
Fair and balanced, or partisan and biased? We report, you decide.
H/T to reader LarryMo for the tip.
