Outrageous Quote of the Week 9/1/07

Reported by Chrish - September 4, 2007 -

Last week's winner was Fred Barnes, for suggesting assassination as a way out of the morass in Iraq: "... [al Maliki] is a dud. Look he hasn't done a good job and I'm sure privately President Bush is furious at how little he's done in reconciliation and other things. On the other hand, you know, we went through this in Vietnam, when they - when the U. S. conspired to get President [Ngo Dinh] Diem murdered actually and then that's a - a sequence of people after that who could not lead. Look. If there were some other - if there were some obvious leader there, Charles, I would say 'Good, let's go ahead with it.'"

This week we're doing something a little different.

Both John Gibson and Bill O'Reilly were on vacation this past week, so the usual outrageousness was lacking - chalk it up to end of summer doldrums. This week, we'd like you readers to nominate outrageous quotes. Sources and links are a must. We will narrow it down for an end-of-week vote, and the winner of that poll will receive a choice of prizes.

Have fun, keep it relevant, and may the biggest jerk win!
